Some women envy her, some men adore her, but most want to live like a confident woman. She carefree, adventurous, fun, daring, sophisticated, smart and sassy. She craves the attention of no one, yet her presence captivates everyone. She dictates her own path and makes her own way. She understands life and owns it. Women seek her expertise, while trying to figure out how does she know so much. Her motto is: I’m worthy of everything! In the words of legendary poet, Maya Angelo, she’s “A Phenomenal Woman.”
Here are a few rules or standards to live by, to achieve, living like a Confident Woman:
Rule #1: Love yourself first!
Rule #2: Live everyday like it’s your last. Do something different every other weekend to once a month. Take a vacation or mini trips to a city near you. I prefer to book my trips on Travelocity or Orbitz, it’s easier for me. Explore, taste, and sight-see. Find a local museum. Are you into creating things? Try Painting or making sculptures. Rule #3: Read books for fun, pleasure and growth. Go to your local library (get a library card) and explore topics on adventure, suspense, romance and self-help books. Also, you can find affordable books on Kobo or Amazon such as popular women’s book like #GIRLBOSS or
Rule #4: Randomly dance in the Mirror. Play your favorite song from five years ago and dance! Download Pandora or Spotify app (it’s free) and create your own musical playlist. Try this: Dance 3 times a day to one song.
Rule #5: Exercise Daily. Walk, jog or run for at least 30 min a day. Try doing house chores everyday for 20 minutes. Start small and work up to one hour, 4 or 5 times a week. The goal is to stay active as much as possible, at your own pace.
Rule #6: Retail Therapy. One of the perks of living like a confident woman is how much time you have for self improvement. However, sometimes a Lady needs to go Shopping to upgrade her wardrobe! It’s nothing wrong with spoiling yourself with places like BeBe, GUESS, or Macy’s. Too expensive for you? No worries, name brand stores like Kohl’s have the best selections at affordable prices.
Rule #7: Eat healthy. Go to your local grocery store and pick out fruits and vegetables. Fruits such as apples, pears, and oranges. Look for dark, leafy greens like kale and spinach. Try making a green smoothie. Create your own salads and add salmon. Minimize eating process foods and fast foods.

Rule #8: Volunteer. Do you love animals? Try finding a local pet adoption center. Have you ever wanted to be a mentor to young kids? Try volunteering at a local boys and girls club.

Add essential oils such as lavender or eucalyptus. Light a few candles, turn on soft music and let your mind relax. After that, treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure.
